The HSE has recently reported that one third of construction industry accidents are a direct result of poor and inappropriate manual handling.

In its new publication, HSG149 entitled Backs to the Future-safe manual handling in construction, the HSE has set out a series of guidelines aimed at reducing this worrying statistic from the construction industry. All areas of responsibility are identified from the designers to the contractors  and when it comes down to it, that means YOU!
